TPA Mission Statement
The Podcast Academy is the industry’s preeminent professional membership organization. Our mission is to elevate the podcast industry by celebrating the craft of podcasting, so it continues to become more mainstream as a media platform. We connect, support, and celebrate podcasters all over the world at every stage of their evolution. We do this through learning, networking, and mentorship opportunities with top podcast and audio leaders, as well as by recognizing the industry’s best at the Ambies® awards. Our mission is to create a world where all podcasters can thrive.
How It All Began
The Podcast Academy was founded in February 2020 by 17 industry leaders who saw the need for a professional membership organization to support and celebrate podcasting.
Their vision: create a space where creators could grow, connect, and be recognized for excellence in their craft.
Today, our 20‑member Board of Governors—elected by our members—continues to guide that mission forward.
