The Podcast Academy Membership Opens

THE PODCAST ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP LAUNCHES
1st annual peer-based awards planned for 2021
June 22, 2020 (New York, NY) – individuals from all areas of the podcast industry may now apply for membership to The Podcast Academy, an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering excellence and creativity in the podcast industry.
The Founding Board of Governors is planning the inaugural year of the Academy, preparing to open the awards submissions in late 2020, and building a program of educational and networking events that reflect the current environment of distance interactions. The Podcast Academy will host webinars on industry topics, offer a mentorship program, and publish whitepapers on best practices. As members join they are asked to indicate their areas of interest to help guide programming focus. Additionally, the Academy will host a searchable directory of members, giving everyone the opportunity to connect with other Academy members. A one-year membership to The Podcast Academy costs $50 if an individual joins by September 30, 2020, after that date the cost for membership will be $100 for individuals or $75 for students. The Founding Board of Governors is excited to welcome all those who participate in the industry both behind and in front of the microphone. The Podcast Academy is designed to be inclusive, international, and to give everyone a voice and a vote. As a new organization the participation of members whether sharing their knowledge, experience or perspective is key to long-term success. In these unusual times, it is a new opportunity to build community in an exciting way.
